For pre-school and the younger home educated children (2-8 years) and their supporting adult.
Come and join us on a Tuesday morning in the Knockhatch Woodland for lots of Forest School fun!
We have created a beautiful Forest School area with a fire and shelter, mud kitchen and lots of wonderful woodland activities to keep you and your little ones busy. There will be opportunities to take part in activities such as den building, woodland crafts, using tools such as saws and hammers, obstacle courses, cooking on the fire, going on woodland walks, playing games, sharing stories around the fire and having lots of woodland fun!
Our Forest School sessions take place whatever the weather, providing it is safe to do so. We have a shelter and fire to keep you warm and dry, but we also love playing in the rain, splashing in puddles and getting changed into warm, dry clothes afterwards.
Expect to get wet and muddy, but also expect to have a lot of fun, make new friends, laugh and learn new things in the great outdoors.
PLEASE READ ALL THE INFORMATION ON THIS PAGE BEFORE BOOKING.
These sessions MUST BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE. Anyone who just turns up will be asked to leave.
By booking into the first session on Tuesday 17th September 2024, you then will automatically be booked into the next 6 sessions in the same time slot, 10.00am to 11.30am.
You will be asked to provide details about you and your child/children which will be stored inline with GDPR and will only be used for the Forest School when relevant.
All sessions go ahead whatever the weather, unless it is deemed unsafe to do so. However, we reserve the right to cancel any session, for any reason, at any time. If a session is cancelled by us a new session may be made available or refund for that session will be made.
The practitioners have relevant childcare qualifications and hold a Level 3 certificate for Forest School Leaders.

You need to come to Knockhatch Adventure Park and park in the overflow car park (go past the main carpark and head towards the Ski and Snowboard School. The overflow carpark is on the left). Please park in the hard standing area. Do not park on the grass, you will get stuck.
You will be met in the overflow carpark by the Forest School Leader.
If you are late you will need to meet the group in the wood as we will leave the meeting point at 10.00am.
We would like to take occasional pictures for advertising purposes.
We will ask you to fill in a photo consent form at the start of the first session – it is completely optional so please do whatever is right for you.
We have been given access to East Sussex School of Circus Arts toilets. The toilets are situated near the car park. There will be no other toilets available if we go on short walks away form the main base.
Due to the nature of the wood unfortunately the ground is unsuitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
The Forest School Sessions do not give you access into Knockhatch Adventure Park. If you would like to visit the Park a separate ticket will need to be purchased.
