The Asian Brown Wood owl is found throughout most of Southern Asia. It is primarily nocturnal, sleeping amongst the trees during the day, with its excellent camouflage blending it seamlessly into its environment. This makes it very difficult to find and study, so although believed to be widespread and least concern, not much is known about this very elusive owl.
Did you Know? This owl is often heard but not seen! The Asian brown wood owl has several distinct calls, including the classic "hoo hoo HOO", a deep "goke-goke-ga-looo" and a loud screech!
Our Asian Brown Wood Owl is named Bandit!

I loved it when the owl spread it's wings.
