The Capybara Experience

Fancy a sit-down with the world’s most chilled-out rodents?

Our resident capybara sisters are a properly social bunch and usually come trotting over the moment someone new pops by.

During your time with them, you’ll get to see how their family group works and learn all the little quirks that make each one different.

We always let the girls take the lead on how much they want to join in, though they aren't exactly shy when the snacks appear!

You’ll head off with a massive smile and a much better idea of what makes these curious creatures tick.

Age Group

8 years old upwards

Anyone 16 years old or below must be accompanied by a responsible adult, 18 years old or above who will need to pay to spectate unless joining in with the experience.

The price includes entry into the rest of the Park for the
participants.

Capybara Experiences are not exclusive and you may be joined by other people.

Spectators

All spectators will be charged the standard entry price. Book online up to 11:59 the day before you visit to receive a discount.

Clothing/PPE

Fully enclosed shoes, long trousers and a full-sleeved top are
required.

Please note that this experience is suitable for wheelchair access.

Experience Rules

Upon taking part in the experience, you accept the following risks and will adhere to the rules listed below

Arrive at least 15 minutes before the experience is due to start.
If you have booked using a voucher. YOU MUST BRING YOUR VOUCHER WITH YOU. Without the voucher the experience cannot go ahead.
You must wear minimum a long-sleeved top, a pair of trousers and a pair of enclosed shoes.
The experience will go ahead whatever the weather. However, we reserve the right to postpone, cancel, shorten or adapt any experience to continue the smooth running of the Park.
We suggest you bring a change of clothes and shoes with you in case you want to go in any of the play areas after the experience.
The Keepers must be obeyed at all times.
The minimum age is 8 years old. Anyone 16 years old or below must be accompanied by a responsible adult, 18 years old or above who will need to pay to spectate unless joining in with the experience.

Participants are not allowed to swap with someone else in their party halfway through the experience.
You must not eat or drink in the animal’s enclosures or areas.
Our animals are on a strict diet so please do not bring food in to feed them. If on the experience you get to feed the animals the Keepers will supply the food.
You must wash your hands at the nearest hand washing station after taking part in the experience.
You will be allowed to take pictures throughout the experience.
The staff at Knockhatch Adventure Park reserve the right to refuse admission if they see fit to do so and stop the experience at any time for any reason.
Knockhatch Adventure Park reserves the right to close an amenity, toilet, ride, kiosk, animal enclosure or show without prior notice for the purposes of maintenance or staff training. Refunds will not be given in these circumstances.

KNOCKHATCH ADVENTURE PARK CANNOT ACCEPT ANY LIABILITY FOR INJURY CAUSED WHILST PARTICIPATING IN THE EXPERIENCE. ANYONE BREAKING THESE RULES MAY BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE PARK WITH NO REFUND GIVEN.
