Bringing the Curriculum to Life!

Bringing the Curriculum to Life:

Bespoke School Workshops at Knockhatch

Whether your family are learning at home or part of a bustling mainstream classroom, we know how much a hands-on experience can help a lesson really click. Reading about habitats is one thing, but seeing a food chain in action or watching how a creature adapts to its environment is quite another.

We are thrilled to announce that we are now offering bespoke workshops tailored specifically to what you are covering in school this year. Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, we want to work with you to make sure your visit hits all the right notes for the 2025-26 & 2026 - 2027 curriculum.

Tailored to Your Current Topics

We’ve had a good look at what's on the timetable for students this year, and we can build sessions around:

  • Key Stage 1 & 2: From identifying basic needs and survival to understanding the skeletons and muscles that make animals move.
  • Living Things & Habitats: Diving deep into classification systems and how environmental changes impact the creatures around us.
  • Life Cycles: A proper look at growth stages and reproduction across different species.
  • Year 6 Evolution: Exploring adaptation and inheritance (and perhaps even the quirky history of animals in space!).
  • Secondary Science (KS3 & KS4): More complex sessions on genetics, natural selection, and the vital ethics surrounding animal welfare and conservation.

Beyond the Science Lab

While biology is our bread and butter, we don't stop there. If you’re looking to add a bit of spark to other subjects, we can adapt our sessions to cover Geography, History, Art, and Design & Technology. Whether it's sketching the textures of a reptile or looking at the history of native British wildlife, we’ve got it covered.

How it Works

The best part? You tell us what you need. If your class is currently obsessed with biomes, animal behaviour, or even the incredible work done with East Sussex County Open Doors, we can accommodate it!

We are more than happy to chat through your specific learning goals and craft a session that fits your group perfectly. It’s all about making sure the students have a brilliant time while ticking off those important curriculum points.

Ready to plan a visit? Send us an email to discuss how we can build a workshop just for you. We can't wait to help your students discover something new!
