Blackbeard's Adventure Play Area at Knockhatch Adventure Park is perfect for under 14's to go full pirate!

Featuring huge turrets with slides, interconnecting rope bridges, sliding poles, cargo nets, balance beams and a 30ft Zip Wire!

Younger children have access to a mini pirate base and a huge sandpit to bury their own treasure (we recommend parents/guardians make their own treasure map!)

Open daily from 10.00 am to 5.30 pm, whatever the weather!

Attraction Rules

THIS PLAY AREA IS FOR CHILDREN 2-14 YEARS OLD.

A RESPONSIBLE ADULT MUST ACCOMPANY UNDER 6’s AT ALL TIMES AND ON THE APPARATUS.

YOU ARE JUST ABOUT TO ENTER A PLAY AREA THAT IS NOT A SOFT PLAY AND HAS ALL THE ASSOCIATED RISKS OF INJURY AS AN ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND.

YOU MUST NOT ATTEMPT TO CLIMB THE ROCK NEAR THE PIRATE SHIP, THIS IS A RIDE BARRIER AND IF YOU BREAK INTO THIS AREA THERE IS DANGER TO LIFE. YOU WILL BE ESCORTED FROM THE PARK.

UPON ENTERING THIS ACTIVITY, YOU ACCEPT THE RISKS ABOVE AND WILL ADHERE TO THE RULES OPPOSITE.

Parents/Guardians must supervise all children at all times using this play area.
You must wear shoes at all times in the play area.
Slippery when wet.
No running within the play area.
No bullying or fighting.
No food, drink or chewing gum within the play area.
No glassware within the play area.
Anyone wearing glasses or contact lenses should take particular care.
Clothes (top and bottoms) need to be worn in the play area.
Please remove all jewellery, badges and other sharp objects.
Anyone who feels unwell should not enter the play area.
Anyone with any medical conditions, which may be affected by the play area should not enter.
Do not throw woodchips.
Go down the slides feet first and move away quickly once you reach the bottom.
For riding the slides, we advise that long sleeved tops, tucked in on all sides and trousers are worn. Friction burns will occur if not.
Do not climb on the outer side of any of the rope bridges, slides or apparatus as this is likely to result in severe injury or worse.
Only use the designated apparatus for climbing up and down.
Only use the apparatus one person at a time. If anyone is on any of the apparatus you must let them finish their ascent or descent before you attempt to go.
No liability will be accepted for any losses, damage or theft of personal items whilst in the Blackbeard's Adventure Play Area.
You will be liable for any deliberate damage to any property of Knockhatch Adventure Park.

KNOCKHATCH ADVENTURE PARK CANNOT ACCEPT ANY LIABILITY FOR INJURY CAUSED WHILST USING THIS PLAY AREA. ANYONE BREAKING THESE RULES MAY BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE PARK WITH NO REFUND GIVEN.
